Classical Guitar Immersion

April 19, 2006- April 23, 2006

Portland, Oregon

Gone are the days of the long master classes. During the 70’s one week, more frequently two week and sometimes three-week classes were taught by the greatest teachers of the day,  The long, intensive classes, where you could brush up, maybe even perform for, some of the greatest players of the day, has given way to short one or two day workshops. A player comes into town, plays a concert and the following afternoon gives a class - a hand shake and a kiss on the cheek if you’re lucky.

The Classical Guitar Immersion event is designed to bring back this intensive four day learning experience to serious adult classical guitarists. This is not just ANOTHER classical guitar festival or event. The CGI is a synergistic learning experience built on developing technical foundation, performance skills and friendships to last a lifetime.

In addition there will be opportunities for collaborative learning experiences between participants.

Hotel:

WOW!  We managed to find a very nice place for us to stay for a super reasonable price.  This place is first rate and all the rooms overlook the beautiful Willamette River.  The price of your room includes a full breakfast buffet and a light dinner reception with drinks.  We are arranging for rooms to be shared amongst participants to keep the cost very low.  Each room will have a bed or beds and a living room area with a pull out couch.  Plenty of options for two and for the few hours that we’ll actually be sleeping it will be more than adequate.  Contact Karla at kfisherx@hotmail.com to arrange booking of shared rooms.  Make sure your room is confirmed with Karla before showing up at the hotel.

If you don’t want to share a room and just want to book yourself tell them that you are with the Scott Kritzer workshop for our special rate.
