I know some of you are trying to decide which event to come to. Hopefully we'd all be rich enough and have enough time to do both but alas, you may be few.

Guitar Vacation is just that. A wonderful vacation in Italy around a daily master class. Other events also round out the week: private lessons with Aldo Vianello; Guitar Orchestra with Aldo and an international guitar competition.

I'm not sure how it will work this year but last time we'd all meet for breakfast (Aldo greets blurry eyed guests with a smile and a cappuccino) and post breakfast everyone heads out for some sight seeing. (We all stay in Hotel Azzura, Rimini). Back for lunch and after a break it's off to the master class (from 3-6), in Old Town, Rimini.

Those of you who study with me can work with me, Aldo or both. I'd highly recommend participating in the Guitar Orchestra (which performs on the student recital). I'm not sure when those rehearsals will take place.

After the master class we head back to the Hotel Azzura for dinner (or you can stay in Old Town for a bite).

There are some impromtu performances in the hotel lobby, or head out for a walk on the beach or to grab some gelato!

Classical Guitar Immersion is a very intense week of learning. Students who participate will gain insight on performance, practice, technique and musicianship. ALL participants are performers and it's limited to 15 people. We'll all be staying at a beautiful retreat on the Columbia Gorge.

We will be in class (master classes, performance classes, ensemble rehearsals and the occasional lecture), most of the day. The serenity of Menucha will balance this intense learning experience.

Feel free to post your thoughts and questions.

If you'd like to receive detailed information regarding Guitar Vacation or Classical Guitar Immersion please send me a request. Thanks -Scott
